Buddhism 1-2-3 Is an Informal Class on Shin Buddhism; Each Session Stands Alone.  Wednesday’s night sessions include chanting, meditation, and Dharma.

This Wednesday in the Sangha Hall we will focus on several aspects of Jodo Shinshu ritual, including kansho (the bell-ringing that is the call to worship) and nembutsu (the recitation or calling of Amida Buddha’s name), that exist us in part to help us with experiencing Buddha-nature.

We meet for Buddhism 1-2-3 in the Temple’s one-story Sangha Hall off of our parking lot most Wednesdays (see schedule below). Sessions are designed to function primarily as stand-alone events in most cases. Each month we explore a new theme under the guidance of Kenji Sensei, who is currently exploring traditional Jodo Shinshu doctrine as it relates to our crazy and untraditional lives. Please join us at your first opportunity and not worry about missing earlier sessions.

Sessions are free and open to all. Light refreshments are served.

We plan on meeting through the rest of the year as follows:

May 16, 23, 30
