Are you curious about the beliefs and practices of Muslims?
Do you have questions about Islam and how it differs from your own religious beliefs?
Do you have concerns that Muslim values may be different than your own values?
Please join Salaam and All Souls’ Episcopal Church for a memorable “Evening of Ramadan.”
The event will take place on two evenings:
May 23 – Info Session, Dinner and Discussion
6:30-9:00 PM (light dinner included, cost: $8)
Location: All Souls’ Episcopal Church, 1475 Catalina Blvd, San Diego, CA 92107
This session will prepare you with a basic orientation on Islam, including a discussion of hot
button topics like jihad, sharia law, and the role of women in Islam. We will have a small
group Q&A session with local Muslims during dinner. Childcare will be provided.
June 6 – Mosque Visit
Wed, June 6, 6:30-9:00 PM (tentative, details to be announced at May 23 session)
Note: attendance at May 23 info session is required in order to participate in mosque visit.
We’ll meet at a mosque and observe the service before the breaking of the Ramadan fast.
We will enjoy a light meal and conversation with Muslim friends. You’ll make delightful
connections and perhaps go home with a changed image of your Muslim neighbors.
