“This year marks the 550th birthday of the founder of the Sikh faith,

Guru Nanak.  In present times, the world seems to be filled with darkness and despair as it did during the time of Guru Nanak.  Hence, it is apropos to discuss why the Sikh faith was created and what are its’ fundamental and foundational tenets.

Gagandeep has had many diverse experiences in her interfaith and faith=based work. She presented at the Parliament of World Religions in 1993, Harvard’s Pluralism Project forum on ‘Religions & Politics 2004: Women’s Votes, Women’s Voices.’ She is currently a member of the Interreligious Council of San Diego; a Commissioner for the City of San Diego Human Relation’s Commission; Vice-President of the Sikh Foundation San Diego Board of Directors and a  Board Member of the San Diego District Attorney’s Interfaith advisory Board.”
