Join us for our Pax Christi San Diego gathering!  Parish Center Conference Room

Guest Speakers from Hands of Peace will present about their group and share ways we can support their causes to promote peace and justice.  Hands of Peace is an interfaith organization that empowers young people to raise their voices as leaders of change.  Through the power of dialogue, Palestinians, Israelis and Americans partner to pursue peace, equality, freedom and justice. Hands of Peace believes the future depends on the leadership of the next generation.

Their 2018 summer program will be held in Carlsbad from July 11 – July 30.  They need families to hosts teens and staff from the Middle East. You can also encourage your teen to apply for the summer program.  Come join us and learn more about this wonderful organization and see how you can get involved.  Let us gather together as a community in solidarity during these difficult times. Each one of us can be an ambassador for peace!

Pax Christi USA, which means Peace of Christ in Latin, is a national Catholic peace and justice movement.  Its purpose is to create a world that reflects the Peace of Christ by exploring, articulating, and witnessing the call of Christian nonviolence.  This work begins in personal life and extends to communities of reflection and action to transform structures of society.  Pax Christi USA rejects war, preparations for war, and every form of violence and domination.  It advocates primacy of conscience, economic and social justice, and respect for creation. Pax Christi San Diego is our local chapter.
