Join Rev. Frank Placone-Willey in the Summit Sanctuary for “Conjuring Justice,” a unique gathering for people from the Summit Community and elsewhere:

“I’ve invited The.Wav, an L.A. artist collective who are popular Hip-Hop musicians, and educator Ian Willey (who happens to be my son), to host and direct a creative workshop for artists and non-artists. The Rev. Dr. Will Coleman, a long-time colleague, teacher and mentor of mine, will also be helping to facilitate the event.

With their guidance and support we will engage in various types of artistic expression (e.g. poetry, creative writing, visual and musical art) to deepen our understanding of justice and help us build a stronger common commitment to justice-making. The event is, by intention, multi-cultural, intergenerational, religiously trans-traditional, and experimental.”

Snacks and refreshment will be provided.

Pre-registration is requested. The event is free to all comers.  Just watch for the event posting on the Summit Facebook Page or call the Summit Office and leave a message indicating your interest in attending. People from age 14 on up may attend, but all minors must be given permission to attend by their parents or guardians.

Caveat: As this is a venue for free speech, participants may be exposed to explicit language.

Donations are requested, though not required. Monies collected will help offset the cost of the event, with at least a third of the monies donated going to support another charity—as yet unnamed.

Some of the participants will be present and participating in Sunday service, February 4, at 10:00 a.m. A Circle Discussion will follow, to debrief the happenings of the weekend with me and the facilitators.

Remember, Soul Work is Essential to Good Justice Work!
