Don’t miss the Big Data & Community Policing Conference in January of 2020! The Conference put on by MEASURE Austin, an Austin-based nonprofit with a mission to use data and education to empower communities to eliminate disparities, is being executed with the aim to provide San Diegans (and others visiting) with the tools to eliminate disparities in their community.
The conference will feature trainings led by law enforcement, evidence-based practitioners, faith leaders, researchers, activists, and techies to equip San Diego residents with the
skills and knowledge needed to collect, interpret, and utilize data to create actionable solutions for their communities. Panel discussions including representatives from law enforcement, technology, research and advocacy will explore community policing, what it means, what it looks like in practice, and how data can be used to inform community policing.
