AS PART OF INTERFAITH AWARENESS WEEK AUGUST 5 – 12TH

Our Lady of Guadalupe Church invites you to the 2018 Teach-In for Justice

Teach-in Workshops

Finding What You Care About: How Long Is It Since You Were Really Bothered?

  • We need not to be let alone. We need to be really bothered once in a while.  How long is it since you were really bothered? About something important.  About something real?  In this workshop you will explore the most prominent issues of today and identify which ones speak to your heart.

Being the Artist: The Justice of the World is in its Creativity

  • Justice of the world is in its creativity, in solving problems, in our activity and struggle. While we are alive there is the possibility to act, to strive for happiness, this is justice.  In this workshop you will learn about the role of creativity in working for justice.

Citizenship: The Invitation to Make a Difference

  • We are stewards, not masters of our earth. Each of us has a personal responsibility to care for the precious gift of creation.  This workshop will share stories of finding purpose, taking personal responsibility, and accepting the invitation to make a difference.   Participants will be given tips on how to become engaged citizens in San Diego.

By attending the Teach-In, you will…

Listen to social justice storytelling from change makers of all ages.

Learn what it is that gets you out of bed in the morning.

Build community with others who want to make a difference.

Find opportunities for meaningful service with causes you care about.

Experience music, dancing, food, and fun!
