This remarkable event will bring together people of different faiths and cultural backgrounds for a wonderful morning of community service, fun and camaraderie. Families are encouraged to participate together in this hands-on community service day for all ages.
Join diverse San Diego faith communities in hands-on volunteer service in Balboa Park.
Make it a day on, not a day off!

Meet in Balboa Park at the end of President’s Way on the lawn between the Automotive Museum and International Cottages. Parking is available in surrounding lots.
8:45 AM—Registration (same day on-site only)
Participants under 18 must sign a waiver (available on-site). Youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
9:15 AM—Opening Ceremony celebrating the 11th Anniversary of the Interfaith MLK Jr. Day of Service.
9:30 AM—Cleanup in Palm Canyon and the old Desert Garden. Come dressed and prepared for physical work.
11:30 AM—Musical entertainment and complimentary picnic lunch of hot dogs and chips.
WHAT TO BRING
Pruning tools (if possible). Tools will also be provided
Any additional picnic food or beverages you may want. Complimentary hot dogs and chips provided. (Your picnic can be left in your car close to the picnic area)
